How MEDam Reviews Providers
Choosing care abroad means placing deep trust in your care team.
Learn exactly what that trust is built on, and what happens before any doctor or clinic appears on MEDam.
How do I know my doctor is qualified and safe?
Every doctor and clinic on MEDam has completed our four-stage provider review process led by our Chief Medical Officer. Providers appear only after final approval.
MEDam uses a multi-step provider review process before a physician or medical facility is listed on the platform. This process is designed to help us assess whether a provider appears eligible for inclusion on MEDam based on the information available to us at the time of review.
- 1
Application and Documentation Review
As part of onboarding, MEDam reviews physician and provider information, including licensure status, professional qualifications, specialty credentials, disciplinary history, malpractice-related information, and relevant legal or regulatory records, where such information is available from official, governmental, regulatory, judicial, or other reliable sources. After a provider is listed on the platform, MEDam may conduct periodic monitoring to help confirm continued eligibility for listing.
- 2
Credentials and Experience Review
MEDam reviews provider-submitted credentials, training records, professional experience, and related documentation as part of its internal credentialing and platform review process. This review helps MEDam evaluate whether a provider should be listed on the platform. MEDam does not independently verify or guarantee clinical outcomes, treatment results, medical advice, diagnoses, treatment plans, or the accuracy or completeness of provider-supplied materials.
- 3
Facility Review
Where feasible, MEDam conducts an on-site visit or other facility review to assess general patient-facing conditions, available services, and operational information provided by the facility. This review is not a formal accreditation, certification, safety audit, or guarantee of the facility's equipment, personnel, procedures, infection-control practices, or treatment outcomes.
- 4
Final Platform Review
A review panel led by MEDam's Chief Medical Officer evaluates provider applications based on MEDam's internal platform criteria. Providers are approved for listing only after MEDam completes its internal review process.

Who sees my medical information?
Only your doctor sees the medical information you share during your consultation(s). MEDam uses a secure video consultation platform powered by Doxy.me, a telehealth platform specifically designed for healthcare privacy and security. MEDam does not access, view, store, or review your medical documents. Your doctor is responsible for the medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and medical records related to your care.
What if something goes wrong?
Medical outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Before treatment, your provider should explain the risks, expected recovery, and any follow-up or revision protocols that may apply to your procedure. If you have a concern after your consultation or treatment, MEDam will assist in coordinating communication with your provider so that the issue can be reviewed and addressed through the provider's applicable follow-up process. Medical advice, follow-up care, revision recommendations, and treatment decisions remain the responsibility of your treating provider. For cancellations, our deposit policy is clearly explained before you book. Learn more
