After amniotic membrane transplantation, most patients can usually return to light daily activities within a few days, depending on the condition being treated and the surgeon’s instructions. Mild discomfort, tearing, foreign body sensation, and blurred vision may occur during the early healing period. Eye rubbing, swimming, dusty environments, and strenuous activity should be avoided until the eye surface has healed properly.
