Femto-LASIK is a state-of-the-art laser vision correction procedure used to treat myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. The treatment combines femtosecond and excimer laser technologies to reshape the cornea with exceptional precision and improve visual clarity.
Unlike traditional LASIK, the corneal flap is created using a femtosecond laser, allowing for greater accuracy, enhanced safety, and more predictable outcomes. The procedure is quick, minimally invasive, and typically performed on an outpatient basis.
Key benefits include:
High-precision vision correction
Rapid visual recovery
Blade-free laser technology
Reduced dependence on glasses and contact lenses
Femto-LASIK offers reliable, long-term visual outcomes and helps patients achieve clearer vision while maintaining excellent ocular health.
Femto-LASIK – Recovery and Travel Recommendations
After Femto LASIK, most patients can return to normal daily activities within 1–2 days, depending on visual comfort and individual healing. Temporary dryness, light sensitivity, glare, halos, or blurred vision may occur during the first days after treatment. Patients should avoid rubbing the eyes, swimming, dusty environments, and eye makeup during the early recovery period.
Patients are advised to remain in the country for about 2 days after the procedure.
Air travel is usually possible after the first postoperative examination, if the eyes are healing well.
For longer journeys exceeding 4–6 hours, patients should use lubricating eye drops regularly and follow the surgeon’s travel recommendations.
The cost of the procedure may vary based on anesthesia type, sutures, additional tests, and hospital stay length.
